William J. Casey, 59, husband of Pamela J. (Thompson) Casey of
Jeffrey's Neck Road, Ipswich, died
Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Shapiro
Cardiovascular Center of Brigham
and Women’s Hospital, Boston, losing his battle with multiple
myeloma.
Born
in Beverly, the son of Thomas J. Casey Jr.
of Beverly and the late Charlotte (Peabody) Casey he was
raised in Beverly and was a 1973 graduate of Beverly High School. He
continued his education at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in
Boston where he trained and earned his degree as a machinist. For
many years he was employed as a machinist in several shops, opening
KC Precision Machining in Ipswich in 1990. Bill enjoyed cruising the
coast in his boat, having
traveled the Inter Coastal Waterway several times, jet skiing,
having jetskied the entire East Coast, kayaking, snowmobiling,
camping and bicycling. From a young age he was an active member at
the Beverly “Y” and as an adult served for many years on the Ipswich
YMCA Board of Directors.
In
addition to his wife Pam of nineteen years
he is survived by a son, Derek Marchand and daughter, Nicole
Marchand both of Ipswich; two grandchildren Bentley Marchand and
Finley Nikas of Ipswich; a
sister, Barbara R. and her husband Russell Lacerda of Danvers,
three brothers,

Deborah Casey
of Kittery, ME, Joseph E. and
his wife Deborah Casey
of Newburyport, Steven J. and
his wife Deborah Casey
of Acton, ME; and many nephews and nieces.
His funeral service will
be held 11 am Thursday, June 25 in the Immanuel Baptist Church, 45
Central Street, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully
welcomed. Visiting hours are 4
to 8 pm Wednesday in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High
Street, Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his
name may be made to the Multiple Myeloma
Fund, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston,
MA 02284-9168 and or to the Ipswich
Family YMCA, 110 County Road, Ipswich, MA 01938.
