Warren A. Smith

Warren A. Smith, 60, of New Balch Street, Beverly, formerly longtime of Ipswich, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the Beverly Hospital following his brief illness.

Born in Medford June 17, 1955, son of Warren A. Smith of Ontario and Alice L. (Hughes) Thanos of Exeter, NH, he was raised in Ipswich, a 1973 graduate of Ipswich High School. Warren was employed as a computer programmer in the sheet metal industry. For many years he was employed at PMS Manufacturing Products in Gloucester, and was currently employed at A-W Airflo Industries in Newburyport.

Warren was a member of the North Shore Bridge Church in Ipswich.

In addition to his mother Alice, his father Warren and his wife Norma and their son Marco, he is survived by a daughter, Shannon O’Bryon and her husband Dan of FL; two sons, Paul Smith of Worcester, and Zhi Li of Beverly; a granddaughter, Mia O’Bryon of FL; a sister, Pamela Killam and her husband Leslie of Exeter, NH; a nephew, Tony Thanos  and his wife Lucy of Methuen and his two former wives, Sharon Smith of Amesbury and Gui Ying Li of Beverly.

His funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, March 21, following an hour of visitation by family and friends from 11 am until noon in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St., Ipswich. Interment will follow in the New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich.
