Thomas W. Joseph, 84, formerly of Chebacco
Terrace in Essex, died Thursday, January 16,
2014 in the Blueberry Hill Healthcare Center,
Beverly following a brief illness.
Born in Essex August 16, 1929, son of the late
Arthur and Mildred (Day) Joseph, he was
raised in Essex and attended the Rufus Choate
School in Essex and graduated from Gloucester
He was on the town baseball team in Essex and
was an avid golfer. He was a veteran of the US
Army and served in the Korean War. He formerly
worked for Bulcan Industries in Lawrence as a
plant supervisor and most recently at Woodman's
He enjoyed dining out and going to the American
Legion of Hamilton where he was a member.
He is survived by two daughters, Lesley B.
(Joseph) Cotter-Joseph and her wife AmyLynne (Cotter) of Lawrence
and Nancy (Joseph) Amico and her husband Paul
of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren,
several nieces and a nephew and several grand
nieces and nephews; and his long time companion
Linda Fitzgerald of Beverly. He was predeceased
by his sister Shirley Fitch, formerly of Essex.
He will also be greatly missed by his best
friend Andrea MacIntyre who visited him daily
since he moved to Blueberry Hill.
funeral service will be held at 11am on
Tuesday, January 21st in the Whittier-Porter
Funeral home, 6 High Street, Ipswich . Family
and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting
hours are Monday January 20 from 4 to 7 pm.
