Susanne L. (Knight) Brand
Susanne L. (Knight) Brand, 85, a longtime resident
of Hamilton and wife of Roger G. Brand, passed away in her sleep at Putnam
Farms in Danvers on January 28, 2019.
Sue was a registered nurse. She will be remembered
as the school nurse in Essex where she served for many years. She was
active in the Choir at the First Congregational Church in Wenham where she
was the chairman of the Music Committee. Sue was known to many for her
love of all things knitting. She taught many a person to knit, purl and
cable, and found many dropped stitches, at the Village Stitchery in
Topsfield.
In addition to her husband Roger of sixty-four
years, she is survived by a son, Kenneth “Kirby” Brand and his wife Paula
of Hamilton; a daughter, Ginger Morton and her husband Ken of Williston,
VT; six grandchildren, Erin, Christopher, Emily, Josh, Craig and Amanda,
and three great-grandchildren, Annie, Addie and Trystin. She was the
sister of the late Gillette Knight formerly of Reading.
A memorial service will be held on Friday February 1 at 3PM in the
Whittier Porter Funeral Home 6 High Street, Ipswich, MA 01938. Family and
friends are cordially welcomed. In
