Stella (Aponas) Klos,
91, wife of the late Anthony J. Klos, died Wednesday, June 28,
2017 in the Kaplan Family Hospice, Danvers, following her brief
illness.
Born in Ipswich July
31, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Konstanty and Stefania (Misiewicz)
Aponas. Stella was raised in Ipswich and was a 1943 graduate of
Ipswich public schools. During World War II Mrs. Klos was employed
by the United Sates Navy in Ipswich and later for the Federal
Deposit Insurance Corp and the Federal Department of Health and
Human Services in Boston. Married in the former Sacred Heart Church
of Ipswich in 1950, she made her home and raised her family in
Ipswich.
Stella is survived
by her daughter, Patricia Avery of Tasmania, a son, Anthony Klos and
his wife Joan of Ipswich, five grandchildren, Craig and Nathanial
Avery of Australia, Alison and her husband Jesse Lee of NY, Andrea
Klos of Boston, and Anthony J Klos of Ipswich, and a great
granddaughter, Madeleine Lee of NY.
She was the sister
of the late Anthony, Alfred and Sophie, all formerly of Ipswich.
Her funeral service
will be held 10 am Monday, July 3 in the Whittier-Porter Funeral
Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich, followed by interment in the Cowles
Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully
