Sarah Ann Chittick

Sarah Ann Chittick, 34, who most currently resided in Rockport Maine, passed away in Rockport, on July 29, 2018 as the result of an inhalant overdose.

She was born October 31,1983 in Danvers, the daughter of Bill and Debra (Rauscher) Chittick. Sarah was a 2002 Graduate of Ipswich High School. Most recently, she was employed at Hannafords Supermarket in Camden and previously was employed as a licensed massage therapist. She enjoyed volunteering at PAWS, an animal shelter in Camden. Sarah loved to cook; she loved animals and loved playing games.

Sarah fought a lengthy battle with addiction and had experienced near fatal overdoses in the past. Sarah’s family truly loved her and tried to be as supportive as possible as she struggled with her addictions. If you have any loved ones who are fighting addiction, Sarah’s family asks that you do everything possible to be supportive and guide them to rehabilitation before it is too late.

In addition to her parents,  Debra and Bill Chittick and his husband Robert Hamilton of W. Warwick, RI, she is survived by brothers Adam Chittick and his wife Amanda of Lisbon, CT, Matthew Chittick and his wife Katie Fichera of Reading; his grandfather,  Edward Rauscher; aunts, Brenda Dalelio, Rebecca Vogt  and her husband Mark, Carol Raimo; uncle, Edward Rauscher and his wife Casey and her nephews Brady, Cooper, Matthew, and Benjamin.  She was predeceased by her grandmother Barbara Rauscher; grandfather, Robert Chittick and his wife Gloria and grandmother Betty Chittick.

 A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday August 10th, 4 to 7 pm in Whittier-Porter Funeral Home at 6 High Street, Ipswich.  A private service will be held on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in her name be made to PAWS, 123 John St, Camden, ME 04843,  https://www.pawsadoption.org/donate
