Russell F. Dahl

Russell F. Dahl, 61, of Powers Rd., Meredith, NH, died Thursday June 19, 2008 in the Lakes Regional General Hospital, Laconia,  following his brief illness.

Born in Everett August 22, 1946 son of the late F. Russell and Hilda M. (Erickson) Dahl, he was raised in Saugus and was a 1964 graduate of Saugus High School. For many years he delivered fuel oil for the former Parsons Oil Company  of Saugus and later  for the Glen-Mor Oil Company of Chelsea. Retiring in 2004, he moved to the family’s home on Meredith Neck. Russell enjoyed his family, friends,  boats, snowmobiling,  motorcycling and the lake with all it offered.

He is survived by a brother, David A. Dahl and his wife Donna of Franklin; a sister, Nancy Fritz of Meredith; two nephews, three nieces and several aunts and uncles including Robert Erickson of Meredith.

Visiting hours are Sunday June 22, from 2 PM to 5 PM in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St., Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed.

A private service will be held graveside  in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 1 Union St., #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
