Rose Pinto Voss

Rose Pinto Voss, beloved wife of the late Donald
J. Voss, of Rowley,
passed
away October 22, 2022 at the age of 90.
Rose was born in New Haven, Connecticut,
daughter of the late Frances (Conforte) Pinto.
Rose led a life of caring for and helping her
family and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
In her younger years, she was very active
in the West Haven Junior Women’s Club and Federal Women’s Club as an
officer.
She organized many fundraising events
including fashion shows to benefit the American Heart Association.
Rose was an expert seamstress and made
many clothes and outfits for her family.
She also enjoyed oil painting and
crafting.
Rose was employed for several years at the
Veteran’s Hospital in West Haven and later as a medical
assistant/secretary in a local physician’s office.
However, her greatest “work”
accomplishment was building her West Haven home with Donald.
Rose is survived by her only child, Jacqueline
Voss Lees and son in law Paul L. Lees of Rowley; her three cherished
grandchildren, Olivia Rose Lees of San Diego, CA, Rachel Anne Lees and
Paul Leonard “PJ” Lees both of Rowley; a sister, Carmela Gambardella of
West Haven, CT and many nephews and nieces. Rose was
predeceased
by her brother Nicholas Pinto, Anthony Pinto, twin sisters Rita (Rachel
Anne) Carsone and Jean Apuzzo, and Frances Conrad.
A
funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Friday, October
28, 2022 at St.
Louis Church, 89 Bull Hill Lane West Haven, CT. Interment will follow in
the All Saints Cemetery, New Haven, CT.
Family and friends are cordially
welcomed.
