Rosalie (Hovey) Collins, 72,
of Cedar Street, Beverly, wife of the late Donald Hathaway and the late
John Collins, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in the Grosvenor Park
Healthcare Center, Salem following her long illness.
Born December 16, 1941 in
Ipswich, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Osee (Hardy)
Hovey. She and her first husband Donald lived in Lynn where they raised
their family. Following his death she married John Collins and resided
on Main Street in Peabody. Throughout these years she had been employed
at Sylvania in Ipswich, at Building 19 in Lynn and most recently at
Avnet in Peabody.
Rosalie was an avid football
fan and was a member of the I.C.C. in Beverly.
She is .survived by two
sons, Anthony J. Hathaway of Seabrook, NH and Kevin M. Hathaway of
Ipswich; a daughter, Lisa M. Haefner of Peabody; five grandchildren,
Alessa, Cameron, Zuzu, Krystle and Logan; three great grandchildren,
Benjamin, Brody and Brooke; a brother, Joseph Hanson of S. Hamilton, two
sisters, Patricia St. Peters and Estelle Ryan both of Maine and many
nephews and nieces.
Her funeral service will be held 11
am Tuesday, September 30, graveside in the New Highland Cemetery, Town
Farm Road, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home
