Ronald Edward
Sharpe

Ronald Edward “Ron”
Sharpe, longtime resident of Ipswich,
passed away with family at his side on December 24, 2019 at the age of 68.
He was the devoted and loving husband of forty-five years to his high
school sweetheart, Mary Ann (Gawrych) Sharpe.
Ron
was born in Englewood, California and was the son of the late Carl Edward
and Doris Rosemary (Beynnon) Sharpe. He had been the Director of Loss
Prevention for various corporations including CVS where he pioneered
innovations to prevent theft, many of which remain industry best
practices. Ron’s kindness and fierce commitment to his family defined him.
He delighted in many gestures of love, from cooking for the “Pollack
Palooza” to making the perfect after-dinner cup of tea for his wife. His
creativity led him to excel in leatherwork, pool, and cooking, but the
guitar was a
passion since childhood.
Skilled in finger picking, Ron delighted
many with his
acoustic guitar.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann Sharpe, he is
survived by his beloved twin sons, Matthew Sharpe and his wife Kimberly of
Danville, NH, Austin E. Sharpe and his wife Abigail of Acton; a sister,
Valerie “Thia” Kirlis of Norwood; four grandchildren, Emma, Logan, West
and Cypress Sharpe, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Gangemi and her husband
Eugene of Lynnfield.
A
Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 4,
2020. Family
and friends are respectfully welcomed.
