Roberta M. Ring, 70, of Round O, SC and formerly long time of
Ipswich, died February 10, 2017 in her South Carolina home
following her long illness. She was the wife of the late Ronald
O. Ring.
Born in Danvers, daughter of the late Parker and Nathalie
(Eaton) Bray, she was raised in Danvers where she attended
public schools. Roberta raised her family in Ipswich while
employed by the B&M Rail Road. She was later employed by AMTRAK
and retired after twenty three years of service as a conductor
and had lived these last years of employment in Dover, NH. In
retirement she moved to her new home in South Carolina.
Roberta enjoyed home gardening and traveling the country by
automobile.
She is survived by a son, Ronald O. Ring and his wife Margot of
CT; two daughters, Randee J. Michaud and her husband David of
Salisbury, Rayann Muse of ME; four grandchildren, Amanda and
Michael Foote, Sienna and Parker Ring; three sisters, Caroline
Stanley of Salisbury, Virginia Dolfe of SC, Jeanne Kolodziej of
Peabody and her lifelong friends, Michael and Theresa Enos of
SC.
Her funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, March 4,
graveside in the New Highland Cemetery, Town Farm Road,
Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home of Ipswich.
