Robert Mark Stottlemyer

Robert Mark Stottlemyer, 59, of Whittemore Street,
died Wednesday, August 30, 2022, in the Boston Medical Center following
his brief illness. He was the loving partner of Nicole Jobe-Morgan of
Gloucester.
‘Mark’ was born in Gloucester on July 21, 1963, one
of the four children of the late Robert L. and Shirley (Aldridge)
Stottlemyer, he was raised in Gloucester where he attended public schools.
For many years he lived in Strong and Wilton Maine before his return to
Gloucester. Throughout the years he had been employed as a landscaper, cab
driver, kitchen helper at George’s in Gloucester, an EMT for the former
O’Brien Ambulance Service, and as a technician at the Thermat Machine shop
in Gloucester. ‘Mark’ was well known in the community as a generous
volunteer and fundraiser for many causes which included “Toys for Tots,’
‘Wall for Vietnam Vets.,’ Poker Run for Rudy,’ ‘Lacey Packer Run’ and the
‘Eddy Run.” He was a member of the Aces and Eights Motorcycle Club of
Gloucester and Essex. He enjoyed his many friends each year as they
ventured off on two wheels to Sturgis and Daytona.
In addition to Nicole, he is survived by a son,
Robert J. Stottlemyer and his partner, Debra Sheehan; two grandchildren,
Nicolas C. Sheehan, Mark H. Stottlemyer; two brothers, Corey Francis, J.
Kris Francis; a sister, Shirley Turner, all of Gloucester and many nephews
and nieces.
His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday,
September 8, 2022, graveside in the Spring Street Cemetery, Essex. Family
and friends are cordially welcomed. Arrangements are under the direction
of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
