Robert G. Sinclair

Robert G. Sinclair, 91, of Randall Road, Ipswich,
the loving husband of the late Cynthia A. (Chase) Sinclair, died Saturday,
March 20, 2021 in his home following his brief illness.
Born in Salem on August 15, 1929, he was the son of
the late George G. and Gladys (Currier) Sinclair. Bob was raised in Salem
where he attended public school going on to attend and graduate from the
Beverly Trade School. His professional career was that of his service as a
Chief Warrant Officer with the Massachusetts Army National Guard. During
these years he served in the Salem, Wakefield and the Fort Devens facility
from which he retired.
An avid sailor and boat owner he and his family
enjoyed many days of sailing the New England Coast. He was also an avid
one design racer, an accomplished 110 sailor. He had competed in many of
the races during the annual Marblehead Race Week. The family also enjoyed
their many years of vacationing on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Bob was a life member of the Jubilee Yacht Club in
Beverly.
Bob is survived by his three sons, Robert G.
Sinclair, Jr. and his wife Brenda
of Ipswich, Gary S. Sinclair and his wife Jan of Bluffton, SC, Bruce A.
Sinclair and his wife Vickie of E. Kingston, NH; nine grandchildren; five
great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the
late Barbara Phipps and Carolyn Evitts both formerly of Rowley.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday 2 pm
graveside in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Town Farm Road, Ipswich. With
Covid restrictions family and friends will be cordially welcomed.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home
of Ipswich.
