Robert Lloyd Irvine
Robert Lloyd Irvine, 73, devoted husband of Mary
Ann Irvine, passed away surrounded by family at his home on March 26, 2020
after a long battle with lung cancer.
born in Ipswich on March 12, 1947, the son of Elizabeth Bruce Irvine and
Lloyd Elton Irvine. He attended Ipswich schools and joined the Army after
his graduation from Ipswich High School in 1965.
A member of the Army Corps of Engineers
in the Vietnam War from 1965 to1968, he returned home and became a
fulltime firefighter in Ipswich.
a respected firefighter with the Ipswich Fire Department from 1975 until
his retirement in 2002.

department, Bob also worked as the Head of Maintenance at the Hamilton
He was a member of the Ipswich VFW Post
1093. After retiring, Bob moved to Berwick, Maine where he was a proud
member of The American Legion Post 79.
