Robert W. Staples
Robert
W. "Bob" Staples, 69, husband of Sandra M. (Rowe) Staples of Ipswich,
passed away unexpectedly February 16, 2017 in the Beverly Hospital.
Born in
Beverly, he was raised in Magnolia and graduated from Gloucester High
with The Class of 1965. Following graduation he served briefly in the
Coast Guard then went on to study at Wentworth Institute in Boston. In
1973 Bob married Sandy, the love of his life.
They
made their home in Ipswich and together raised four children. Bob worked
for most of his life at Polaroid, retiring in 2010. In his later life he
enjoyed crosswords, his companion Chihuahua Joey and spending time
relaxing with his wife Sandy.
In
addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Wayne R. Staples and
his wife Kristen of Billerica, and Matthew F. Staples and his fiancé’
Ryan Reid of Salem; two daughters, Elizabeth M. Mudgett and her husband
Troy of Seabrook, NH, and Katherine A. Staples of Anchorage, AK; two
grandchildren, Elena Staples and Jake Mudgett and a brother, Bruce
Staples of FL.
His
funeral service will be held at a later date.
