Richard O達rien

Richard O達rien, 82, beloved husband of Ann J. (Tofuri) of North Ridge Road, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022 in the Beverly Hospital.

Richard was born in Winchester on August 26, 1939 one of the three children of the late John W. and Catherine (Cullen) O達rien.  Rich graduated from Winchester High School in 1957 and went to work for AT&T from which he retired in 1999.  In 1966, he and his wife Ann made their home in Ipswich where they raised their children while thoroughly enjoying the beauty of Ipswich. Rich and Ann spent their retirement traveling the world and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Rich was an avid Boston sports fan and spent many wonderful hours cheering his teams on at home and as a season ticket holder of the Patriots.

In addition to his  adored wife of fifty-eight  years, he is survived by  a daughter,  Sheila O達rien and her husband, Edward Dingman of Nanuet, NY; a son, Richard O達rien and his wife Tracy L. of Ipswich; four grandchildren, Adam and James Dingman and Christian and Jaclyn O達rien; many nieces, nephews and godchildren. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Neil Kerrigan and his wife Ann of Winchester  Rich was predeceased by his brother, John W. 撤at O達rien, Jr. formerly o FL and his sister, Mary Elizabeth 釘etty Kimball and her husband, Fred formerly of Wakefield.

Rich痴 family is grateful for the wonderful care that he received by the home health aides of Visiting Angels of Danvers and Care Dimensions Hospice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home in Ipswich. A celebration of his life will be held in the coming summer. In lieu of flowers, Rich痴 family requests that you consider giving to the Alzheimer痴 Association, alz.org, or a charity of your choice.
