Richard A. “Ricky” Morrill

Richard A. “Ricky” Morrill, 68, of Estes Street, Ipswich, died suddenly Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Ipswich. Born in Ipswich June 25, 1949 son of the late William E. and Eleanor B. (Courser) Morrill he was a life long Ipswich resident where he attended public schools.

For many years he was employed as a grounds keeper with the Ipswich Cemetery and Parks Department from which he retired this  year.

A great outdoorsman, Ricky was most fond of deer hunting, ice fishing, clamming and gardening. He will fondly be remembered by many for his iconic orange cap.

He is survived by a brother, Russell Morrill and his wife Suzanne of Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters, Jean Bowlen of Salisbury and Trudy Cole and her husband Jim of Jacksonville, FL and many nephews, nieces and friends. He was the brother of the late Jimmy Morrill formerly of Ipswich, William E. Morrill of Peabody and Nancy Follansbee of Amesbury.

A Memorial and a Celebration of Ricky’s Life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, November 19 at the St. Lawrence Club in Ipswich.  Family and friends are all cordially invited. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the St. Lawrence Club, 14 Fairview Ave, Ipswich, MA 01938.
