Richard J. Faro
Richard J. Faro, 89, loving husband of the late
Christina C. (Sforza) Faro, formerly of Wimbledon Court, Ipswich and
formerly of Wellesley Hills, died July 1, 2021.
Richard was born January 18, 1932, in Winthrop, son
of the late Sebastiano "James" and Antonietta (Bordinaro) Faro. Richard
married Christina on February 6, 1955 and together they shared sixty-five
years of marriage. A proud veteran he served with the U.S. Army in the
Korean War. Richard went on to own and operate eBay State Lobster Company
of Boston. Richard enjoyed a rich and wonderful life he shared with his
wife and their children, traveling, entertaining and fundraising for their
charities which included speech, hearing and St. Coletta’s Home.
Richard is survived by his loving two children, his
son, James Faro and his wife Lisa of Ipswich; a daughter, Christine Faro
of Ipswich; a daughter-in-law, Diane Faro and her husband Brian McManus of
Framingham; two brothers, Angelo Faro of Saugus, Sam Faro of Winthrop; six
grandchildren, Richard L. Faro, Jennifer Yurovich, Stefanie Faro, Lauren
Griffin, Olivia Faro, Christopher Faro; and four great-grandchildren,
Blake Faro, Sloan Faro, Leigh Yurovich and Rowan Griffin.
In addition to his beloved wife Christina, he was
predeceased by a son, Richard Faro formerly of Medfield; a brother Joseph
Faro formerly of Middleton; a twin brother, James of formerly of Melrose;
and a sister, Ventura Faro formerly of Wrentham.
His Funeral will be held Friday, July 9 at 9 am
from the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich, followed by
the celebration of a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St.
John the Baptist Church, 52 Main Street, Essex. Family and friends are
respectfully welcomed. Interment with Military Honors will be in the
Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions in his name may be made to Kaplan House, 78 Liberty Street,
Danvers, MA 01923.
