Patricia Marie (Grzybinski) Gordon
Patricia Marie (Grzybinski) Gordon, 62, of
Gloucester, wife of Paul G. Gordon, passed away peacefully at Gloucester
Healthcare with her loving husband at her side and her favorite song
playing on the radio on Saturday, March 2, 2019.
She was born in Chelsea on March 30, 1956, daughter of the late Charles E.
“Charlie” and Rita S. Grzybinski. Patti attended UMass Dartmouth where she
earned her BA in Nursing. She then went on to work for over thirty-five
years as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Mass General Hospital for many
years, as well as Mercy Hospital in Miami FL. Her last fifteen years as a
RN she cared for patients at North Shore Medical Center in Salem. Patti
enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles, and was an avid
reader. She also enjoyed camping and hiking in the White Mountains in New
Hampshire. She loved to travel and has driven cross country to visit her
parents in Arizona, as well as travels to the Bahamas, Cancun Mexico, and
Aruba and numerous trips to Disney in Orlando. She loved music and sang in
the choir for many years at the First Church in Ipswich where she was a
cherished church member. She also loved animals and she and her husband
have rescued many animals from shelters over the last thirty years. Patti
was a woman of unimpeachable character and kindness. Her contagious smile
and bubbly personality would brighten up any room she walked into.
She will be greatly missed and was well
loved by her family, friends, coworkers, and church family.
In addition to her husband of twenty-nine years, she is survived by her
six siblings, Paul Grzybinski
and
wife Cathy of Amesbury, Charles Grzybinski and his wife Cindy of Key West
Fl, Robert Grzybinski and wife Betty of Gloucester, Anne Lapointe and
husband Richard of Templeton, Elizabeth Ferris and husband Donald of
Melbourne, FL, and Matthew Grzybinski and wife DeeDee of Peabody, as well
as a plethora of nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins.
She
also leaves behind her two precious dogs, Mike and Bosco.
A memorial service and reception will be held on April 6, 2019 at the
First Congregational Church in Ipswich commencing at 3pm. Arrangements by
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
