Delaney, 76, wife of George F. Delaney of Choate Lane, Ipswich, died
in her home surrounded by her loving family and closest family
friends on Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Patricia was born in
Salem on December 15, 1941 the daughter of the late Thomas W. and
Esther E. (Hayes) Connolly. She was raised in Peabody and was a 1958
graduate of St. Chritienne Academy in Peabody and a 1962 graduate of
Salem State College. Married in 1964 the Delaneys soon made their
home and raised their family on Moulton Street in Hamilton. For
twenty or more years she was employed as a math teacher in the
Ipswich Middle School. During many of the years she was also
employed as a bookkeeper and controller with her husbandís business,
Ipswich Maritime Products.

enjoyed many years of golf at the Old Newbury and Ipswich Country
Clubs. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed knitting and decorating.
Throughout the years she was an avid supporter and fan of her
childrenís and grandchildrenís many sporting achievements. She loved

husband of fifty-three years she is survived by a son, George A.
Delaney and his wife Kara of Boxford; a daughter, Jennifer T.
Jedraszek and her husband Ronald of Beverly; seven grandchildren,
Annie, Alexandra and Timothy Towler, Michael Jedraszek, Kathryn,
Madeline and Jackson Delaney; three brothers, Thomas Connolly of
Newburyport, Phillip Connolly of NH, Michael Connolly of Georgetown,
and her loyal canine companion, Willie. She was predeceased by her
infant daughter Colleen.
Her funeral will be
held Thursday 9 am from the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High
Street, Ipswich followed by the celebration of a Funeral Mass of
Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Paul Catholic Church, 50 Union
Street, Hamilton. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed.
Visiting hours are Wednesday 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be in the
