Pamela
J. (McGee) van Twuyver
Pamela J.
(McGee) van Twuyver, 75, former longtime resident of Ipswich, died
suddenly on Saturday September 26, 2020 in Plymouth Minnesota. She was the
loving wife of the late Robert van Twuyver.
Born in Gloucester on July 30, 1945, Pam was the
daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Hall) McGee. She was raised in
Ipswich, was a graduate of Ipswich High School and went on to attend
Lowell Technical School. Married in 1964, the van Twuyvers made their home
and raised their family in Ipswich. For many years she was employed as a
bookkeeper and a driver for Kinson Bus Lines. During this time she also
performed as the church organist at the Rockport, Salem and Ipswich United
Methodist Churches. In her retirement she relocated to Beverly Hills
Florida where she performed as an organist in the Inverness United
Methodist Church.
Pam
was also a lifelong and active member of the United Methodist Church. She
enjoyed spending time with her family, Church activities and classical
music.
She is survived by her two sons, Peter J. van
Twuyver and his wife Kimberly of Georgetown, Christopher K. van Twuyver
and his wife Sheila of Plymouth MN; four
grandchildren,
John and Aiden van Twuyver of Georgetown and Amanda and Robert van Twuyver
of Plymouth MN, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the
late Kathleen McGee, formerly of Ipswich, and the late Eleanor Tyler,
formerly of Breckenridge CO.
Visiting hours will be Sunday 4 to 7 pm in the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Her funeral service
will be held graveside Monday October 5 at 11 am in the Cowles Memorial
Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Relatives and friends attending will
be required to wear masks and are asked to respect social distancing as
required by CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Memorial contributions in her name
may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6,
