Nancy L. (Lord) White, 95, of Allen Street Rowley, wife of the
late Norbert V. White, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 in her home
after her declining health in recent years.
She
was born in Ipswich August 29, 1918 daughter of the late Raymond
D. and Ruth (Adams) Lord formerly of Ipswich. She attended
Ipswich Schools and was a graduate of Nasson College. She
and her husband
started White Farms in the 50s and together owned and operated
it until his death in 1977.
Nancy was a people
person with a warm smile and a twinkle in her emerald eyes. She
cultivated many long time cherished friendships. If you were a
grammar, high or college buddy you were a friend for life. She
also had a special love of family and extended family. She had a
welcoming mix of humor and sincerity that turned acquaintances
into friends.

Her loving family
will really miss her wonderful and happy personality.
She leaves her
children Geraldine and her husband Paul Sheppard of Venice FL,
Robert White of Spencertown, NY and
Norbert Timothy and wife Pauline of Rowley. She is also survived
by her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Dawn M.
McCarthy and her husband John of Rowley, Matthew White and his
wife Ella of Spencertown, NY, Beth Tatro and her husband
Christopher of Sandisfield, MA and N. Timothy White, Jr. and his
wife Leah of Milan, N.H. who were her pride and joy and her very
special great grandchildren, Jack and Colleen McCarthy of Rowley
and Delaney Jean White of Milan, N.H. She was the sister of the
late Robert Lord formerly of Gloucester.
Her funeral
service will be held Monday, May 19, 11 am graveside in the
Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Arrangements are under the direction
of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
