Michele Aileen Wiese
Wiese, 60, died on May 19, 2013, in her Ipswich home following a lengthy
Born on September
16, 1952 in Schenectady, New York, she was the daughter of the late
James Arthur Wiese and Aileen (Mory) Wiese. She was raised in Marblehead
and was a graduate of Marblehead High School and Muhlenberg College in
Michele had a zest
for life and was eager to try new experiences - zip lining, white water
rafting, hot air balloon rides, ballroom dancing. She enjoyed traveling,
particularly cruising. For many years she was a Board Member of the East
Boston “K” Trust, a Scholarship and Charitable Trust, as well as a
member of the Kiwanis Club of Revere. She had a passion for animals,
especially cats, and was a devoted horse owner and equestrian. She was a
regular volunteer at Groton House events in Hamilton.
She worked as a
Certified Ophthalmic Technician in Beverly for many years, then worked
for MATEP in Boston, and Health Data Institute in Bedford, before
returning to work in Ipswich for Ebinger Brothers Leather Company and
Preston Leather Products. Her final years were spent employed with the
East Boston Savings Bank.
In addition to her
mother, she is survived by a brother, James Lynn of Alameda, CA.
Private funeral arrangements are under
the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA, ATTN:
Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130, or to any
local animal shelter.
