Michael F. Vyn, 40, son of Eleanor
(Elie)
Mears Vyn and Frederick A. Vyn, died
October 31, 2013 in his Wenham home. following a brief illness. Born
November 24th, 1972 in NYC, he died from Acute Leukemia, 24 days
short of his forty-first birthday. Throughout his life he fought
illness with grace, tenacity and courage. Life was precious and
humbling to Mike. He demonstrated his compassion for all and
expected nothing less from others, never shrinking away from
challenges, never bowing to social stigma or criticism. He carried
his spirit ever growing stronger as he peacefully left his physical
body. "Michael, the Lion Hearted".
In addition to his mother Eleanor
Mears Vyn of Wenham, he is survived by two sisters, Katherine E.Vyn
of FL, Mary E. Vyn of NH; a niece, Maia Aisha Vyn of FL;
grandfather, David A. Mears of Essex; aunts, Louise Mears Lutts and
family of Haverill, Joan Sebulski Vyn and family of MI, Marty Vyn
of CO; uncles Walter G. Mears and family of Peabody, Barry M. Mears
and family of Essex and many loving friends and caregivers. He was
the grandson of the late Mary A. Mears formerly of Essex and
nephew of late Daniel D. Mears formerly of Salem.
