Michael P.D. Fenton

Michael P.D. Fenton, 32, of Ipswich, passed away Saturday, December 18,
2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen from complications after surgery.
Born in Beverly on April 7, 1989 he was the son of Sharon A. Fenton and
Steven Fenton. Mike was raised in Ipswich where he attended Ipswich public
schools and played varsity football, hockey & lacrosse. He was known by
all his teammates to be a team player and was passionate about sports. He
later completed his college career at the University of Maine, Orono with
a Bachelors in Political Science.
Mike had a successful career in Financial Services for TD Bank and Salem
Five Bank. He switched careers and moved to FIS Global where he worked in
sales. Mike was known for his hard work and dedication to his
customers. He will be remembered by all for his infectious smile and good
humor. He was always willing to help with any task, big or small. For the
last few years Mike and Megan enjoyed traveling and going on numerous
adventures. Mike liked nothing better than cannonballing his nephews in
the pool, and sometimes people didn’t enjoy his enthusiasm. He always
looked forward to cooking with his soon to be father-in-law, Paul.
Mike was looking forward to his new chapter in life, getting married to
his beloved fiancé, Megan J McNulty on September 4, 2022.
In addition to his parents and fiancé, he is survived by his beloved dog
Oscar, sister Melissa Fenton and his two nephews William and Jack
Thompson, his aunt Elizabeth “Mam” Freitas and husband Jon, uncle Paul
Fenton and wife Jodie, aunt Laurie Fenton, uncle Daniel Valcour and wife
Monique. He is also survived by cousins Sara Freitas Brown, Katelyn Brown,
Emily and Juliette Fenton, Travis Hutchins and his husband Brandon,
Maryann Taggart and her husband Ian, Sean and Patrick Fenton, Madeleine
and Sophie Valcour and many close friends. He was predeceased by his
paternal grandparents Paul and Susan Fenton, and his uncle Thomas Fenton.
A visitation will be held at Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High
Street, Ipswich on Sunday January 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A
Celebration of Life will follow at the Ipswich VFW Post 1093, 110 County
Rd, Ipswich at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial
