Mary Shoemaker Brett,
86, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in her Ipswich
home. She was the loving wife of her devoted husband the late Jack V.
Brett.
Heaven gained an amazing
lady. She was beautiful inside and out. She looked at life with nothing
but pure optimism, love and joy. She was a woman who taught her family
how to enjoy each of life’s moments and how to love as deeply as
possible. Life will not be the same without her.
She is survived by her
adoring children and grandchildren, Sarah Mae Perry and her son Michael
Perry and his partner Kerin Fontaine, Daniel Perry and his partner
Ashley Comeau and their children Owen and Rylee, Kathy Bento and her
husband George and their daughters Mary Louise and Rachel, and Maryjon
Brett; as well her many nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
A Funeral Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Friday, in Our Lady of Hope
Church, 1 Pineswamp Road, Ipswich. An hour of visitation in the church
from 10 to 11 am will precede the Mass. Family and friends are
respectfully welcomed. Interment will be in the Cowles Memorial
Cemetery, Ipswich. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions in her name may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan
Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
