Mark S. Shea

Mark S. Shea, 60, of Ipswich, died on Monday June 10, 2019 following complications from a brain stem stroke. He was the husband of Janice (Mollica) Shea.

Mark will be remembered by friends and family for his work ethic and dedication to his upholstery business, his infectious laugh, and his eagerness to lend a helping hand no matter the project or the problem.

In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by their three sons, Neil S. Shea and his new wife Molly of Everett, WA, Eric M. Shea of Brooklyn, NY and Kyle R. Shea of Ipswich. He is also survived by three brothers, Leonard D. Shea of Gloucester, James M. Shea of Cambridge, and Thomas P. Shea of Pelham, NH, his sister Kathleen M. Ambrefe of Beverly and many nephews and nieces. 

His funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday June 15 in the Ascension Memorial Church, 31 County Street, Ipswich, followed by interment in the New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are cordially invited. Visiting hours are Friday June 14 from 4 to 8 pm in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Ascension Memorial Church attn "Youth Ministry" in Ipswich.
