Margherita V. (Revolti) Clemeno, 81, longtime of Farley Ave.,
Ipswich and wife of Adolph B. Clemeno, died Wednesday January
23, 2008 in the Anna Jacques Hospital, Newburyport following her
long illness.
Born in Beverly February 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the
late Mario and Teresa (Martinazzi) Revolti. She was raised in
Beverly and was a 1944 graduate of Beverly High School. As a
young woman she was employed as a telephone operator in Beverly
and Salem. Married in 1954 in St Mary Star of the Sea Church in
Beverly, the Clemenos made their home in Ipswich. A devoted
mother and wife, she enjoyed knitting and sewing for her family
and cooked wonderful ethnic meals.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, David J.
Clemeno of Amesbury and John M. Clemeno of Ipswich, a sister,
Esther Carrarini of Tracy, CA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Paul M. Clemeno, formerly of
Amesbury and sister of the late Joseph Revolti, formerly of
Fitchburg.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday February February 2 from 2
to 4 pm in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street,
Ipswich. Family and friends respectfully welcomed. Interment
will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may
be made in her name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60
