Lucille (Rathe) Doyon

Lucille (Rathe) Doyon passed away peacefully on November 24, 2020.

She was born on June 5, 1924 to the late Lucy and Ildege Rathe in Ipswich. Lucille found the love of her life in Francis (Frenchy) Doyon and was blessed with seven children, twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

To many, Lucille was known as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend, but to all she was better known as Memere. Memere was the epitome of strength, love, compassion, and wisdom. She instilled the importance of family in all of us and spent most of her days surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who truly brought her endless joy. Anyone who ever skated on her pond, scratched a lottery ticket with her, or came to visit knew they would be greeted with a cup of tea, a cookie, and a bottomless bowl of candy.

Lucille was welcomed into heaven by her husband Francis and her son Paul. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her memory is everlasting to all of those who were fortunate enough to have known Memere.

A graveside service will be held 11am Wednesday December 2, 2020 in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed with masks and social distancing as required by current Covid19 guidelines.
