Kristina Johnson, 83, of Essex, died Friday, August 16, 2013 in
the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Beverly.
She was born in New York City on October 6, 1929. She and her
mother, Dagny Malmborg, moved to Essex in the early 1940’s.
Anna attended Rufus Choate grammar school and through the eighth
grade in 1943. She then attended Gloucester High School,
graduating in 1947.
After graduation, she became a secretary for Lepage’s Inc, a job
she held for many years until her retirement at age sixty-five.
She spent her remaining years living in Essex, and was very
active until her health began to fail about four years ago.
Anna was a very private person, but had a few close friends, and
always remembered birthdays and other milestones of friends and
relatives. She was an only child, but leaves numerous cousins in
Essex, (the Ellsworth Brown family), in New Jersey and in
Sweden. She was a very thoughtful person and will be missed by
friends and relatives. At this time, arrangements are
incomplete.
