Kevin W. Ball

Kevin W. Ball, 53 of Pickering Street, Essex and
Fryeburg, Maine, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in the
Massachusetts General Hospital after a courageous battle with esophageal
cancer. He was the longtime companion Sharon Stoker; her son Mathew and
their daughter Samantha, all of Fryeburg.
Born in Beverly, the son of the Mary J. (Boutchie)
Ball of Essex and the late Roger M. Ball, he was a graduate of North Shore
Regional Vocational High School and East Coast Aero Tech as an A&P
mechanic. His first job was for Rockwell International in California
assembling B1 Bombers. Over the years he had also been employed at
Jeffreys Creek Land Contractors, Coleman Concrete and JP Noonan
Transportation.
Kevin will be remembered for his smile and great
sense of humor. He loved tormenting his sisters and his four nieces and
especially enjoyed his time with his family at their camp in New
Hampshire. His daughter was the light of his life and his pride and joy.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing and had attended races over the years.
In addition to his mom Mary; companion Sharon;
children Mathew and Samantha he is also survived by his brother Brian Ball
and his wife Patty of Essex; sisters Sheila J. Ball of Essex, and Paula
F. Filias, and her husband John C. Filias of Essex; nieces, Heather Walsh
of Kingston, NH, Hillary Ball of Essex, Lindsay Milne of Minneapolis, MN,
and Alexandra D. Filias of Essex, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral Service will be held 11 am Monday,
October 15 graveside in the Spring Street Cemetery, Essex. Family and
friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours will be Sunday 4 to 7 pm
in the Whittier-porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street Ipswich.
