Kenneth R. Brockelbank, 89, husband of June G. (Denault) Brockelbank,
died at home in Ipswich on Sunday January 26, 2014.
Born
in Ipswich August 17, 1924, he was the son of the late Arthur and
Alice (Steele) Brockelbank. He attended local public schools.
Through the years he was employed at Lathrop Brothers Fuel Company,
McRobbie’s Service Station, the Ipswich Electric Shop, Mulholland
Construction Company and Liberty Research in Essex. He enjoyed
camping, snowmobiling, digging clams and searching for treasures at
fleamarkets. A loving husband and father, he will be missed by his
family and friends.
In
addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, David E.
Brockelbank and his wife Ellen of British Virgin Gorda and Ross P.
Brockelbank of Ipswich. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Flynn,
formerly of Ipswich.
Visiting hours will be
held Thursday January 30 from 4 to 7 pm in the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Family and friends are
respectfully welcomed. Interment will be private. In lieu of
flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in his name
to a charity of their choice.
