Judith E. (Perkins) Doucette

Judith Ellen " Judy" (Perkins) Doucette died June 29, 2021 at home with her loving husband of fifty-two years Paul Doucette by her side.

Judy was born in Beverly on April 27,1946 the daughter of the late Loring V. and Martha T. (Tatterfield) Perkins. She was a graduate of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School and worked at Gorton’s Seafood doing data entry. She spent countless hours making sure the house was clean and for over twenty years spent quality time with her mother cooking, hanging by the pool, playing cards and on shopping adventures. Judy will always be remembered for her love for her family and friends, their dog Keel, her kindness, strong spirit, and homemade baked beans. You would always hear her say “Hold me tight and never let me go” to her grandchildren who she loved beyond measure. After Paul’s retirement in 2015 they built their retirement home on Lovell Lake in Wakefield NH where she reconnected with old friends and created new friends.  She enjoyed evening boat rides and watching the sunset. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Paul Doucette of Wakefield NH, her daughter, Tammy Jones of Springfield, and her three grandchildren that she loved beyond measure, Brandyn, Brooke and Bryanna Jones, all of Springfield. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Andrews and Cynthia Crean, both of Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday evening 5 to 8 p.m. in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. A private service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Wentworth HomeCare & Hospice, 9 Andrews Rd, Somersworth, NH 03878, or to a charity of choice.
