Joyce Elaine (Ready) Eagan

We regretfully announce the passing of Joyce Elaine (Ready) Eagan, of
Danvers, who passed away at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers
surrounded by her loved ones on May 29, 2022, after a struggle with
dementia.
Joyce was born in Ipswich on December 30, 1943, the daughter of the late
Kenneth B. and Blanche E. (Deveau) Ready. She is predeceased by her
mother, her father, her brother Brian Ready, and her infant son Jaime. She
is survived her daughter Julie Pugh (son-in-law Ralph Pugh), her sons
Steven and Sean Eagan, her sisters Marcia Alexopoulos and Carole Wescott
(brother-in-law Lee Wescott), her grandchildren Sarah and Emily Pugh,
Jessica Eagan, and Jaime Eagan, several nieces and nephews, and her
companion of many years, Robert Calder.
She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed
gardening and knitting, making the most beautiful homemade sweaters and
afghan blankets. She was an avid animal lover and especially loved dogs.
She made friends with everyone she met.
Her family is grateful to know that she is finally at peace.
She will be forever loved and remembered.
Hours of visitation will be Friday, June 3, from noon to the hour of her
funeral service at 2 pm at the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High
Street, Ipswich. Family and friends are cordially welcome. In lieu of
