Joseph W. DelOrfano

Joseph W. ‘Bill’ DelOrfano, 76, husband of Nancy E. (Kelley) DelOrfano of
Ipswich, died Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Kaplan Family Hospice House in
Danvers.
Joseph was born in Medford on December 31, 1946 one of the two children of
the late Joseph and Josephine (DiGloria) Delorfano.
He was raised in Woburn and was a 1965 graduate of Woburn High School. He
went on to attend four years at Bentley University, graduating with a BA
in accounting and finance. For the past twenty years he was employed. as
Chief Lending Officer for Massachusetts Capital Corporation.
Joseph, also known as ‘Bill’ by many, was an avid golfer who enjoyed the
game with a passion. When he wasn't golfing, you could spot him boating
with his wife, family and friends on Plum Island Sound and Ipswich
Bay. His biggest joys where his children and grandchildren. He savored
every minute he got to spend with any of them and was very
proud of them all and their
accomplishments.
In addition to his wife Nancy of forty-five years he is survived by
a daughter, Paula (Delorfano) Coakley and her husband Kevin of Woburn and
two step sons, Jonathan M. Hannibal of Glenmont, NY, and Timothy A.
Hannibal and his wife Janine of Ipswich; seven grandchildren, Taylor,
Kyle, Evan, and Emily Hannibal all of Ipswich, Katarina and Olivia Coakley
of Woburn, Maxwell Cleary of NY and a brother James DelOrfano of FL.
Hs funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday, January 11 in the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich followed
by interment in the New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are
cordially welcomed. Visiting hours will be offered Tuesday 4 to 6 pm. Memorial
contributions in his name may be made to Kaplan House, 78 Liberty Street,
Danvers, MA 01923.
