Jacqueline T. (Tullar)
Bailey, 70, of Pond Edge Lane, Ipswich, and beloved wife of
Lawrence E. Bailey, died Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Kaplan
Family Hospice House, Danvers following her extended illness.
Born in Vershire,
VT July 6, 1944 daughter of the late Rendell C. and Kathleen
(Chandler) Tullar, she was raised in West Fairlee, VT and was a
graduate of the Thetford Academy. She continued her education
training as a hairdresser at the Sheldon Beauty Academy in
Burlington, VT. Married in 1964 the Baileys soon made their home
and raised their family from her late Ipswich address. With a
grown family she went to work hairdressing at Colonial Hair
Fashions in Ipswich.
Jackie was a
folkart painter. She also enjoyed golf with her husband and
friends and home decorating, and will be remembered by those who
knew her as a loving and dedicated wife and mother.
In addition to
her husband of fifty years she is survived by a daughter, Amy
Comeau and her husband Marc of Ipswich; two sons, Chandler L.
Bailey and his wife Dana of Ipswich, and Seth T. Bailey and his
wife Michelle of Salem, NH; five grandchildren, Allison, Ashley
and Brayden Comeau all of Ipswich, Carolyn Bailey of Ipswich,
and Alexander Bailey of Salem, NH; two sisters, Lois Doyle of
Thetford Center, VT, and Patricia Evans of East Thetford, VT and
several nephews and nieces.
service will be held 11 am Saturday, June 13 in the Byfield
Parish, 123 Jackman Road, Georgetown followed by interment in
the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Family
and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours will be 4
to 8 pm Friday in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High
Street, Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in
her name may be made to the Kaplan House, 78 Liberty Street,
Danvers, MA 01923.
