Helene Mincz, 90, formerly
of Mile Lane, Ipswich, died peacefully Thursday, December 14, 2017
in the Seaview Retreat, Rowley, following her brief illness. She
was the wife of the late Alexander W. Mincz of Seven Lakes, North
Carolina who passed in 1989.
Born in Michigan on April
27, 1927, Helene was the daughter of the late Bronislaw and Dorothy
(Sikorski) Sczarejko of Bronson, Michigan. Helene was a violinist
who served as Orchestra Mistress and first violin in her High School
Orchestra. In 1946 she married Alexander Mincz and they moved to New
Jersey. In addition to raising two children, Helene was an avid
gardener and enjoyed bowling, baking, classical music and reading.
Helene is survived by her
daughter Karen and her husband John Standal of Idaho and her
daughter Adrienne and her husband Ernest DiMuzio of Ipswich, five
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Helene requested a private
burial in Seven Lakes, NC where she will be laid to rest next to her
husband. The family would like to thank the Seaview Retreat staff
for their loving care during her illness. In lieu of flowers
donations can be made in her name to the Friends of the Ipswich
Public Library, 25 North Main Street, Ipswich, MA 01938.
