He is survived by his stepson Stephen O'Connell and his wife Amy Sweeney, their children Ryan O'Connell and his wife Tyler, Alex Parsons and his wife Rosemarie Calder, all of Ipswich and Liza Parsons of Danvers, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Caitlin Marie O'Connell; his brothers Joseph, John and Camille Comeau, and a sister Martha Hagar.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Twin Oaks Center, especially his nurses Cindy and Bonnie, for taking wonderful care of him.  They also wish to express their gratitude to the wonderful people at Care Dimensions.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 5 at 10 am following an hour of visitation from 9 to 10 in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich.  Friends and family are respectfully welcomed.
