Glenn C.
Boutchie, son of the late Maynard and Muriel Boutchie, born
September 15, 1951 entered into rest December 5, 2012.
Glenn was
married to his high school sweetheart, Ginny (Stevens) Boutchie
for forty-three years, enjoying a lifetime of adventures with
his best friend. Glenn’s sons, Glenn Jr. and Daniel, were his
pride and joy. His joy continued when his son, Glenn married
his best friend, Sharon and his son, Dan married his best
friend, Jennifer. When he thought life wouldn’t get any better,
his granddaughters came along, Julia, Jessica and Riley Anne.
Whether building snow hills in the backyard with Julia and
Jessica, sledding at the town hall in Essex, flying kites at the
beach or his Friday lunch dates with Riley Anne, Glenn treasured
these moments. In addition to his wife, sons and
daughters-in-law and granddaughters, Glenn is survived by his
brother, Gary, his Uncle Dana and Aunt Barb Carter, Uncle Dick
Carter and his wife Pat, and his Aunt Kathleen Ricci, as well as
many cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous cherished friends.
Glenn spent
many years coaching his sons’ little league baseball teams
passing on his love of baseball. Glenn’s lifelong involvement
included the Town of Essex Fire department for over forty years,
Essex Civil Defense for fourteen years and the Essex Housing
Authority for the past five years. No matter where Glenn was
employed over the years, he loved his job at Beverly Hospital
the most.
A
celebration of Glenn’s life will be held Monday, December 10,
2012 at 6:00 PM at St. John’s the Baptist Church, 52 Main
Street, Essex, to be followed by a reception at the Village
Restaurant, directly across the street from the church.
Arrangements by the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In
lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed in c/o the Essex Fire
Company, 24 Martin Street, Essex, MA 01929.
