Garry G. Gray

Garry G. Gray, 60, of Kennedy Drive, Ipswich, longtime companion of Diana Comeau, died Monday, November 28, 2022 in his home of twenty-five years following his long illness.

Garry was born in Beverly on April 24, 1962, one of the four children of Winfield Gray and the late Carol E. (Giles) Gray.

He was educated in both Topsfield and Beverly public schools, graduating from Beverly High School. Throughout the years he has worked as a self-employed house painter and for the past many years as a landscaper in Ipswich and vicinity.

Garry was an avid New England Patriots fan. He also enjoyed outdoor adventures which included fishing in the local waters and many days of fishing as a youth with his dad ‘upriver.’ He was a proficient thrower of darts. He belonged to the Ipswich Dart League and the Minute Man Dart League. He’ll be remembered by friends for his love of any kind of music.

In addition to Diana, his companion of thirty years, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth M. Gray and her companion Matthew Levine of Chicago, IL, his father, Winfield “Winnie” Gray of Ipswich, and three brothers, Christopher Gray of NH, Jon Gray of Beverly and Winfield Gray, Jr. of Hamilton.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
