Garry G. Gray

Garry G. Gray, 60, of Kennedy Drive, Ipswich,
longtime companion of Diana Comeau, died Monday, November 28, 2022 in his
home of twenty-five years following his long illness.
Garry was born in Beverly on April 24, 1962, one of
the four children of Winfield Gray and the late Carol E. (Giles) Gray.
He was educated in both Topsfield and Beverly public
schools, graduating from Beverly High School.
Throughout the years he has worked as a self-employed house painter and
for the past many years as a landscaper in Ipswich and vicinity.
Garry was an avid New England Patriots fan. He also
enjoyed outdoor adventures which included fishing in the local waters and
many days of fishing as a youth with his dad ‘upriver.’ He was a
proficient thrower of darts. He belonged to the Ipswich Dart League and
the Minute Man Dart League. He’ll be remembered by friends for his love of
any kind of music.
In addition to Diana, his companion of thirty years,
he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth M. Gray and her companion Matthew
Levine of Chicago, IL, his father, Winfield “Winnie” Gray of Ipswich, and
three brothers, Christopher Gray of NH, Jon Gray of Beverly and Winfield
Gray, Jr. of Hamilton.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later
date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral
Home of Ipswich.
