Frank B. Day
Frank B. Day, of Ipswich, died Sunday evening October 29, 2016 after a
long illness, surrounded by his family. He was eighty years old.
professor of chemistry for over forty-nine years, he was devoted to the North Shore Community
College, from the college’s founding in Beverly to
later years at the Lynn campus.
He wore many hats during his long and happy life: adventurer,
homesteader in Alaska,
private pilot, photographer, writer, woodworker and tinkerer and
voracious reader and philosopher. Frank and his loving wife Christine
raised their family and made their home for four decades in Ipswich.

daughter-in-law, Peter and Emily Day of Burlington, VT;
a daughter and son-in-law,
Edith and Jason Fouser of Essex; two grandsons, Loben and Kepler Fouser
and his sister Cynthia Marriner of Dublin, NH.
memorial service will be held 2 pm Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the
Ascension Memorial Church, 31 County Street, Ipswich. Family and friends
are respectfully welcomed. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions in his honor may be made to the Frank Day Memorial
