Frank W. Dahl, 90, longtime of
527 Park Avenue,
died August 5, 2010 in the Royal Terrace Nursing and
following his long illness.
October 14, 1919 he was the last of the seven
children of the late Andrew F. and Anna M.E. (Nydahl)
Dahl. Raised in
Revere, he was a
1937 graduate of
As a young man he worked with his father and
brothers in the families painting business. Serving
in the U.S. Navy and discharged in 1944, he
and resumed his work in the families business.
An eclectic man of many skills, he pursued the trade
of metal fabrication. He went to work for Tiner
Engineering formerly of
Malden for eighteen years and later worked at
Roland Tiner Inc., Everett until his retirement in
1984. In the following years of retirement he joined
his older brother Albert’s painting and
Having never married he lived at the families' Park
Avenue homestead with his mother until her death
and in the following years alone until moving to
Shawnee, Kansas in 2007 to be close to his niece
Sally Kidson and her family.
Frank was a member of the former “Swedish”
Congregational Church in
Everett and since 1951 has been a member of the
Revere Congregation of the Jehovah Witness’s.
He is survived by many nephews and nieces .
He was the loving and dedicated brother of the late
Albert Dahl formerly lifelong of
Revere, Russell F. Dahl of
NH and formerly of
Saugus, Earl A. Dahl
of Everett, Sally E. Howe of
Kingston, Mildred A.
NH and Anna L.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
