Frank R. Bergmann, 76, of Essex and formerly of Ipswich, died
Sunday, March 30, 2014 in the Blueberry Hill Healthcare and
Rehabilitation Center, Beverly, following a long illness.
Born in New York, NY January 11, 1938 he was the son of Dorothy
B. (Michel) Doyle of Essex and the late William H. Bergmann.
Raised in Essex, he was a graduate of Gloucester High School
Class of 1956 and a graduate of Salem State College
Frank was a school teacher for many years and also spent several
years running his own coin store. An amateur baseball
historian, his favorite team was the Braves. He enjoyed coin
collecting, fishing, hunting, trapping and loved racing
pigeons. He also loved cats and dogs, especially his dog
In addition to his mother he is survived by a son, Christopher
Bergmann, and a daughter, Jessica Bergmann-Boucher, both of
Vermont, a brother, Lawrence Doyle Sr. Of Georgetown, and a
sister Faye Kokos of Ipswich, three grandchildren and one great
grandchild from Vermont. He was the brother of the late Paul
Bergmann formerly of Gloucester.
Private arrangements are under the direction of the
