Francine Marie (Tremblay) Stewart

Francine Marie (Tremblay) Stewart, 71, of Agawam Village, Ipswich, died Friday, December 30, 2016 in the Port Rehabilitation Center, Newburyport following her long illness.

Born March 28, 1945 in Waterville, Maine,  daughter of the late Jean E. and Blanche M. (Martel) Tremblay, she was raised Ipswich where she attended public schools. Married in 1964 Francine made her home in Ipswich where she raised her two daughters. Throughout these years she had been employed as a housekeeper at Sister of the Notre Dame in Ipswich from which she retired.

Francine will be remembered for her love of family and throughout the years her many cats and dogs. She was an avid collector of “angels.”

She is survived by two daughters, Marie J. Prince and her husband Rick of Kensington, NH, and Gail A. Soroka and her husband John of Ipswich; four grandchildren, John Soroka and wife Lindsay of RI, Brandon and Ryan Soroka both of Ipswich, and Amanda Schoenberg and husband Ben of Derry, NH; a great grandson, Austin Schoenberg; two brothers, Gilles Tremblay and his wife Theresa of Ipswich, and Jim Asselin of ME; a  sister, Sister Theresa Tremblay of CT and many nephews and nieces.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to Ipswich Humane Group, P.O. Box 873, Ipswich, MA 01938.
