Evelyn M. (Richmond) Cappos

Evelyn M.
(Richmond) Cappos, 78, of Newport Park Road, Manchester-by-the-Sea, died
Tuesday January 8, 2013 in her home following a sudden illness.
Born November
9, 1934 in West Hartley Pool, England, she was the daughter of the late
Arthur and Annie (Scott) Richmond. She came from Oxford England in 1956
and married Arthur Cappos of Peabody then to reside in Ipswich, on
Linebrook Road for twenty years. After parting their ways in the mid
70's, Evelyn enjoyed her life in Ipswich and then moved to Manchester by
the Sea in the late 90's.
Evelyn worked at Sylvania in the light department in the 1960's and as a
professional housekeeper at Sixty Newbury Restaurant and private homes
throughout the North Shore. She loved being with family and friends and
being with her companion. She always made friends wherever she went, she
was proud of her sons and very proud of her six grandchildren and their
accomplishments.
Evelyn was one of a kind and will not be forgotten by the many friends
she had met on her journey thru life.
She is
survived by three sons, Nicholas D. Cappos and his wife Ellin McSweeney
of Newburyport, Michael W. Cappos and his wife Margaret of Peabody and
Stephen A. Cappos and his wife Cynthia of Oxford; six grandchildren,
Lauren and Leah Cappos of Rowley, Dylan and Troy Cappos of Peabody and
Drew and Lee Cappos of Oxford; three sisters, Susie White of Groveland,
and Patricia Beezly and Doris Belenger both in England; many nephews and
nieces and her longtime companion Tony Fusco of Stoneham. She was
predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
Her funeral
service will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7 pm in the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St., Ipswich following a visitation
from 4 to 7 pm. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Interment
at a later date will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions in her name may be made to MGH/North Shore Cancer Center,
102 Endicott Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
