Doris A. “Duffy” Copeland
Doris A. “Duffy” Copeland, 81, of Story Street,
Essex and wife of the late Russell W. Copeland, Jr., passed peacefully
surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, February 21, 2019 in the Kaplan
Family Hospice House, Danvers following her brief illness.
Born in Attleboro on June 1, 1937, she was the
daughter of the late Horace C. and Alice (Tinlin) Codding. She was raised
in Mansfield and was a graduate of Gordon College.
“Duffy” was a beloved member of the First
Presbyterian Church of the North Shore in Ipswich.
She is survived by two sons, Steven R. Copeland
and his wife Maureen of Rockland, and Jonathan E. Copeland and his wife
Susan of Spring Hill, FL; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Curran, Steven,
Alicia, Patrick, Mara Meaghan and Ryan Copeland and a sister, Marilyn
Cloyd of TX.
There will be a Celebration of Her Life Service
held Saturday, June 1, at 1 pm in the First Presbyterian Church of
Ipswich, 179 County Road, Ipswich. Family and friends are cordially
welcomed. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her
name may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice, 78 Liberty St., Danvers MA
01923.
