Donna Marie Nutile

Donna Marie Nutile, 56, of Great Hill Drive, Topsfield, formerly of Revere, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL following her brief illness. She was the loving partner of James A. Moon, and the mother of her canine, four legged son Mattie.

Born in Winthrop June 3, 1958, the daughter of Peter L. Nutile of Revere and the late Carmela (Cordischi) Nutile, she was raised in Revere a 1976 graduate of Revere High School. She graduated from Boston College in 1980.  She returned to academic studies graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology with BS in computer engineering.  Trained as a computer systems engineer, she was employed as Director of Product Management at CISCO Systems in San Jose’, CA.  A lifelong learner, she also earned a Master’s of Arts degree in Transpersonal Psychology.  In 2003 she returned home to Massachusetts and lived in Lynnfield for six years before her move to Great Hill, Topsfield in 2010.  

A true spirit of love and joy with a passion for life, she filled her life doing the things she enjoyed most, especially spending time with her family and friends.  She was a student of art.  She painted, found great peace in playing the harp, in designing floral arrangements and ballroom dancing with Jimmy.  She volunteered for numerous charitable organizations and was a member of several art and book clubs.  She lived her life with warmth, kindness and unending generosity.  Those who met Donna Marie were instantly aware of how special she was.  She made room in her heart for everyone and through prayer, meditation and love she shared her grace with those in need. Jim and Donna Marie were parishioners of the First Church in Ipswich.

In addition to her partner James and her father Peter, she is survived by a brother, Peter A. Nutile and his wife Patricia of Lynnfield, a sister, Lisa Heard of Reading, two nephews, Peter J. Nutile and Andrew Heard, and three nieces, Lauren Nutile, Jacqueline Nutile and Rachel Heard.

Her funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, February 18 in the First Church in Ipswich on Meetinghouse Green, followed by interment in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours are 4 to 8 pm Monday, February 16 in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to Service Dog Project, Inc, 37 Boxford Road, Ipswich, MA 01938.
