Daniel J. Perley
Perley, 65, of Rowley, passed away peacefully at sunrise at the Kaplan
Family Hospice House in Danvers on October 3, 2021 with his family by his
born in Ipswich on February 18, 1956, son of the late Daniel A. and Norma
H. (Jakway) Perley. He grew up on The Neck and attended Ipswich public
schools, a graduate member of the Class of 1974. He later moved to Rowley,
where he remained for the rest of his years.
and beach were his happy place. Any day spent on the boat was a perfect
day - whether heading to the beach with his family and boating friends,
going out for an early morning of fishing, or digging buckets and buckets
of clams. After working in construction on roads and bridges, he followed
his love of the ocean and continued working as a commercial
Danny enjoyed he simple things in life: morning
coffee at the landing catching up with his buddies, a plate of overpriced
fried clams, watching his grandpup, and the annual “Perley Planting Day”
where he helped Danielle and Nicole set-up their tomato plants.
Danny always made sure his daughters knew
they were the light of his life; especially how proud he was of the two of
them. They will treasure his love forever and will miss his daily phone
calls. He cared for others immensely, and this was shown in how he cared
for his parents and for his forever best friend, Ellen Perley, who he is
predeceased by, at the end of her journey with cancer.
light will shine on the waves forever; may the ocean remind everyone of
his memory. He will be loved and missed, but his girls will always
remember him saying, “I love you, pal.”
survived by two daughters, Danielle M. Perley of Lynn, Nicole M. Perley of
Revere and his sister, Patti Newhall of Ipswich. He was the brother of the
late Lynda Perley, formerly of Ipswich.

for providing comfort and amazing care to him before his passing. Thank

this difficult and emotional time.
