Cynthia J. (Hetnar) Greenleaf

Cynthia J. (Hetnar) Greenleaf, 67, wife of Robert K. Greenleaf
of Lakemans Lane, Ipswich, died peacefully Monday, August 11,
2014 with her family and friends by her side, following her
brief illness in the Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation Center,
Danvers.
Born
in Ipswich May 30, 1947, daughter of the late Edward P. and
Genevieve E. (Dziadosz) Hetnar, she was raised in Ipswich and
was a 1965 Graduate of Ipswich High School.
In
addition to raising her two children, Cynthia held many local
part time jobs. She was the owner of Tan and Tone of Ipswich for
fifteen years which she closed to take care of her in- laws,
Emily and Dick Greenleaf. She recently retired from Orchard
Brands (Appleseeds) of Middleton.
She
enjoyed traveling with her family to Disney World, the islands,
and Brighton, Maine with her very close friends, Flo and Cliff
Whynott. She was a longtime communicant of the former Sacred
Heart Church, and a current member of Our Lady of Hope Church in
Ipswich.
In
addition to her husband Bob of forty-four years she is survived
by a son, Robert K. Greenleaf, Jr. and his wife Megan, a
daughter, Amy J. Clapp and her huband Deke, three grandchildren,
Mackenzie Greenleaf, Taylor Clapp and Jayson Clapp, a brother,
Edward Hetnar, Jr. and his wife Virginia, three sisters, Loretta
Trocki and her husband Stanley, Barbara Jensen and Teresa Eglin
all of Ipswich, and many nephews and nieces.
Her
funeral will be held Saturday, August 16, 9 am from the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich, followed
by the celebration of a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial 10 am
in Our Lady of Hope Church, Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Interment
will be in the New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and
friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours are Friday 5
to 8 pm. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to
the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston,
MA 02215.
