Constance M. (Jones) Kelly

Constance M. Kelly, 72, of Charlotte Road, Ipswich,
passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in
Danvers surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of
Thomas Kelly with whom she shared forty-seven years of marriage.
Connie was born in Dorchester on March 29, 1948,
the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian (Hurley) Jones. She was raised
and educated in Mattapan and graduated Hyde Park High School, Class of
1967. Following
high school she worked for The City of Boston court system for five years.
The family moved to Ipswich in 1976 where she
enjoyed her role as wife, mother and homemaker. For five years she
volunteered at the Doyon School library.
She also enjoyed her hours of teaching knitting and
crocheting to residents at the former Caldwell Nursing Home in Ipswich.
She will be remembered for her love of silly humor.
For many years Connie was both an active
communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church in Ipswich and Saint Rose of Lima
Church in Topsfield.
In addition to her husband Thomas she is
survived by three daughters, Colleen Kelly and her husband Erik Patton of
Melrose, Jennifer
Kelly of Methuen, Melissa Kelly and her husband Ryan Dunn of Somerville;
two grandchildren, Kiera Patton of Melrose, Nora Dunn of Somerville; two
brothers, Thomas
Jones and his wife Donna of Norwalk CT, William Jones and his wife Diane
of Attleboro; two sisters, Christine Jones and her husband Richard
of Canton, Kathy Forsyth and her husband James of Canton and several
nephews and nieces.
A private service will be held graveside in the New
Calvary Cemetery in Mattapan. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions in her name may be made to Care Dimensions c/o Kaplan House
78 Liberty St Danvers MA 01923.
